Data Backup and Recovery

Is your Data Backed Up?Your data is the most expensive part of your computer. You can replace broken hardware, but your personal data is priceless. Most people don’t think about data backup until it’s too late. Occasionally, files can be recovered from broken or damaged hard drives, but is it really worth the risk – or the expense?

Data Recovery

Sphinx Technology Solutions will make every attempt to recover your data. If your machine no longer boots, give us a call and we’ll do what we can. If it’s possible to recover your data, we’ll restore it to another computer, external hard drive or other media.

Rates

Data recovery rates can vary depending on the severity of the failure. We will analyze the situation and provide a quote based on our analysis of the hardware and the likelihood of successful recovery.  In the event that you choose not to move forward or the data is not recoverable, there is a recovery attempt fee of $45.

Backup Protection Service

Carbonite Authorized ResellerSphinx Technology Solutions has partnered with Carbonite to offer our Backup Protection Services to keep your data safe (and in perfect hibernation).  In addition to the Carbonite software, Sphinx Technology Solutions will setup and configure your backups as well as perform the data recovery in the event of a disaster.

Residential Plans

Personal Basic

Includes unlimited online file backup for your computer.

  • $120 per year for the first computer
  • $60 for each additional computer

Personal Plus

Includes unlimited online file backup for your computer, external drive and a local “mirror image” backup for even faster and more complete recovery.

  • $160 per year for the first computer
  • $100 for each additional computer

Personal Prime

Includes unlimited online file backup for your computer, external drive and automatic backup of your video files, as well as a local “mirror image” backup for even faster and more complete recovery.

  • $200 per year for the first computer
  • $150 for each additional computer

Business Plans

Pro Basic

Includes 250GB of online file backup for your computers, external drives and network attached storage.

  • $270 per year plus $25 per computer
  • Additional storage available
    • $100 for 100GB add-on

Pro Prime

Includes 500GB of online file backup for your computers, external drives, network attached storage and Windows servers.

  • $600 per year plus $25 per computer and $50 per server
  • Additional storage available
    • $100 for 100GB add-on

Program Details

  • If a hard drive failure occurs, this package does not cover the reinstallation of your operating system or software applications.  We will provide these services at the standard rate if requested and restore your data free of charge.
  • Video files and files over 4GB are not automatically backed up under the Home or Home Plus Packages, however they can be manually added to your backup.
  • Online backups do NOT include backups of your operating system or installed software.*  In the event of a failure, you will need to have the original media for reinstallation.
  • Sphinx is not responsible for missed or failed backups if you do not report them.  If you notice that the software is reporting a problem, contact Sphinx as soon as possible so that we can get your backups running properly.

* Your operating system and software can be recovered if you are using the local “mirror image” backup included in the Home Plus Package.
